Role overview
A Staff Product Designer is needed to lead the design of a cloud-based clinical SaaS platform used by primary care clinicians. The role centers on deeply understanding clinical workflows to inspire an AI-native experience while grounding the team in everyday practice, guiding work across multiple squads, and shaping the product's interaction patterns and visual language.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery, making key decisions about solution direction and interaction details - Build deep empathy for clinician users by studying their problems, workflows, and jobs-to-be-done so the team consistently solves the right problems - Partner with Product and Engineering to set the strategic direction for the domain and forecast the impact of design decisions on users - Balance cutting-edge AI capabilities with patient safety and accuracy across both user-facing and internal experiences - Define and own user satisfaction and usability metrics, aligning the team around how success will be measured - Mentor other designers, lead design critiques, and champion initiatives that strengthen the design team's culture, tools, and processes
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and shipping complex, web-based products within cross-functional teams - A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces, from research and strategy through polished, human-centered UX, UI, and visual design - Proven experience planning and executing a variety of user research methods - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of building strong partnerships with Product and Engineering - Demonstrated experience designing for complex workflows
