Senior Software Engineer - Go

Role overview Own the technical direction of a platform that moves large volumes of files from customer systems and other storage services into a cloud content environment. The role covers customer-installed transfer agents, a cloud control plane, and services that connect to external storage, with a focus on data integrity, predictable completion, and reliable operation at scale.

Responsibilities - Set architecture for transfer agents, control-plane services, and cloud-to-cloud migration systems; document designs for implementation. - Improve throughput over high-latency links by tuning concurrency, chunking, and retry behavior. - Build end-to-end integrity checks that verify files, permissions, and migration results. - Make long-running jobs resilient to throttling, timeouts, unstable networks, and third-party service failures. - Improve observability and release safety, lead incident investigations, and turn findings into durable fixes. - Work with product, services, and support teams on customer needs; mentor engineers through reviews and technical guidance.

Requirements - At least seven years building production software, including several years designing distributed systems or data-intensive services. - Strong Go skills and working knowledge of Java or another systems language, with willingness to work primarily in Go. - Deep understanding of file systems, storage, metadata, and permissions, including network shares and object storage. - Practical experience with retries, timeouts, backpressure, rate limits, idempotency, and resumable jobs over unreliable networks. - Experience operating Kubernetes services in a major cloud, with strong observability and incident-response practices. - A record of leading technical work across teams and communicating clearly with engineers, customers, and leaders.

Nice to have - Background in large-scale migration, backup, or synchronization products; customer-installed software; or cloud content APIs. - Experience with hybrid-cloud or customer-owned storage, or applying AI tools to operational support.
