Technical Implementation Lead

Role overview Lead technical implementations for enterprise customers adopting a shipping platform through APIs, custom applications, or tailored integrations. You’ll guide each engagement from early discovery and solution definition through delivery, launch, shipment migration, and handover, acting as the technical point person for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities - Lead discovery with sales teams, mapping customer platforms, data flows, and constraints to assess technical fit. - Design integration solutions, including architecture, API endpoints, webhooks, authentication, and data mapping, and recommend a clear approach. - Define and approve statements of work with deliverables, launch dates, volume forecasts, and support terms. - Investigate technical issues using API clients and logs; explain findings to customers and colleagues. - Run technical kick-offs and stakeholder discussions, and coordinate with developers to keep implementation aligned with agreed scope. - Manage concurrent implementations, milestones, risks, dependencies, changes, escalations, volume recovery plans, and handovers to customer success and support. - Track custom production builds, document recurring questions, and share product gaps with product and engineering teams.

Requirements - At least five years in technical implementation, solutions architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role, including enterprise SaaS implementations. - Strong practical knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, and authentication such as OAuth 2.0, SSO, and API keys. - Fluency with JSON, data mapping, SQL, and tools such as Postman or Insomnia. - Structured troubleshooting skills across HTTP errors, rate limits, retries, error handling, and logs. - Understanding of how eCommerce platforms, ERP and order management systems, and warehouse systems connect to shipping services. - Confidence working with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders, making recommendations, and managing scope and pricing boundaries. - Experience writing statements of work, documenting technical solutions, and managing several implementations at once; strong written and spoken English. - Ability to review AI-generated work and explain technical matters in plain language.

Nice to have - Python or JavaScript experience. - Background in logistics, eCommerce, or integrations involving Shopify, Squarespace, Celigo, or Zapier.
