Solutions Engineer

Role overview Join the pre-sales organization as a Solutions Engineer supporting the regional sales engine across Germany, with flexible location within the country. You will act as the technical expert on a unified observability and security platform, leading discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements while partnering closely with sales, customer success, expert services, and marketing.

Responsibilities - Deliver compelling product demonstrations that show how the platform addresses customer pain points. - Lead proof-of-concept engagements onsite and remotely, including cloud architecture discussions. - Partner with sales reps to uncover new opportunities and expand within existing accounts. - Present the platform vision to C-suite executives and provide technical guidance across Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages. - Support channel partners as a trusted technical advisor and coach for their sales and pre-sales teams. - Evangelize the platform at trade shows, partner events, and key marketing moments, and relay qualified customer feedback to Product Management.

Requirements - Fluency in German is required. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience. - 3+ years in SaaS pre-sales, solution engineering, or equivalent customer-facing roles. - Hands-on experience with one or more of: Kubernetes, cloud architecture, a programming language, or DevOps. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate technical value into business value. - Strong troubleshooting and multi-project management abilities, with willingness to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have - Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Programming or scripting experience with Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, or databases. - Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. - Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, serverless, CI/CD, and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
