Software Engineer - Developer Experience

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and supporting systems that boost organizational engineering efficiency. - Automate local development workflows and release engineering processes that move software toward delivery endpoints. - Triage and unblock other engineers by applying playbooks, documenting short-term workarounds, and converting manual steps into automation. - Manage access to key infrastructure and report on the reliability and robustness of delivery systems. - Analyze performance bottlenecks, root cause recurring issues, file defects, and follow up with developers until resolution. - Keep development branches healthy by participating actively in code reviews and preserving a green build state.

Requirements

- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a closely related technical field. - At least one year of experience working on large-scale distributed systems. - Comfort operating in the fast-moving, unstructured environment typical of a scaling company. - Demonstrable knowledge of at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a basic grasp of cloud networking and architecture. - Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or Go, plus familiarity with build tools such as Maven or comparable systems. - Hands-on experience with pipeline automation using Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools, and with Terraform, BASH, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

- Working knowledge of data lakes and data warehousing concepts. - Comfort writing SQL against production data systems.
