Role overview A senior pre-sales solution architect is needed to support federal public-sector customers in protecting critical infrastructure through cybersecurity technology, threat intelligence, and expert services. The role bridges sales and customer stakeholders, designing tailored solutions, guiding proof-of-concept work, and acting as a trusted technical advisor. The work directly strengthens the cybersecurity resilience of federal agencies and advances national security outcomes.
Responsibilities - Engage federal stakeholders in pre- and post-sales conversations to understand mission requirements, technical goals, and the operating environment. - Provide consultative recommendations that surface the full value of the platform and align with industry best practices. - Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations that map features to specific customer needs. - Support trade shows, conferences, and field marketing events alongside the sales team. - Collaborate with account managers to scope and design solutions that fit customer objectives and constraints. - Plan, execute, and troubleshoot proof-of-concept deployments through to successful handoff. - Respond to inbound requests for information, proposals, and statements of work, and shepherd deals through technical evaluation.
Requirements - US citizenship and an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance. - Demonstrated experience working with federal agencies, including familiarity with federal procurement processes, regulations, and policies. - At least 3 years in a pre-sales or consultative technical role. - At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity. - Familiarity with ICS/OT concepts such as industrial protocols, DCS, and SCADA. - Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, the OSI model, and the Purdue model. - Hands-on experience with Linux CLI and packet analysis tools such as Wireshark or Tshark. - Experience with Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana, plus AWS and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V. - Basic scripting ability in languages such as Python or Lua. - Strong presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. - Willingness to travel regularly, up to 50%.
