About this role
Role overview A full stack software developer role on a small, dedicated product team building Electronic Laboratory Notebook, Inventory, and Scheduler tools used by researchers worldwide. The position contributes across the full lifecycle from planning through release, with meaningful influence on development practices and product direction in a fully remote setting.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with product, operations, and support team members to design, develop, and maintain a suite of research-focused software products. - Iteratively plan, build, test, and release new software features. - Create and maintain a robust unit test suite and contribute to automation test framework development. - Participate in code reviews, security audits, and accessibility evaluations.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and 8+ years of relevant experience. - Server-side development experience with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or PHP, with a preference for Ruby on Rails. - Front-end experience with React, Angular, or Vue. - Familiarity with database design, object-oriented programming, and functional programming paradigms. - Modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development skills.
Nice to have - Hands-on experience building SaaS products in a regulated or research-focused industry. - Familiarity with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to accessibility standards such as WCAG and security best practices. - Interest in scientific or educational technology.
