Role overview
Support and improve the systems behind purchasing and payments, from sourcing and procurement through accounts payable. This hands-on analyst role partners with Finance, IT, and audit teams to translate business processes into configured systems, reliable integrations, and well-controlled workflows. Over time, the analyst takes ownership of systems or processes and becomes a day-to-day partner to Finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain finance systems, workflows, approvals, integrations, and reports, including tools used for procurement and contract processes. - Handle system requests and incidents, investigate root causes, and make lasting improvements to reliability and user experience. - Gather partner needs and turn them into requirements, designs, test plans, and well-tested solutions. - Automate manual work and improve data accuracy through integrations, workflow automation, and relevant AI tools. - Plan and deliver projects, keeping stakeholders informed about scope, timing, and progress. - Work with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Internal Audit on controls, documentation, change management, and support for SOX audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years supporting, configuring, or implementing finance or business systems, including hands-on Coupa experience. - Understanding of procure-to-pay processes, including procurement, sourcing, and accounts payable, and how they connect to ERP and related systems. - Experience with finance systems and integrations; familiarity with tools such as Coupa, Zip, or IntelAgree. - Ability to turn business requirements into clear system designs and test plans, and to use data to diagnose issues and improve processes. - Experience building automations or applying AI tools in finance workflows. - Awareness of controls, documentation, change management, and audit support, with clear communication skills across technical and business teams.
