Requirements - Solid foundations in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, complexity, and core software engineering principles - Demonstrated ability to build real software that solves actual user problems across the stack - Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward simple, effective solutions - Builder mindset and comfort owning outcomes rather than just executing tasks - High learning velocity and curiosity about new technologies, tools, and problem domains - Active interest in AI-assisted development and reinventing how software gets built
Nice to have - Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another rigorous technical discipline - Competitive programming experience (ICPC, Google Code Jam, Codeforces, national olympiads, or similar) - Evidence of building things: side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, startups, or shipped products - Exposure to modern engineering workflows such as continuous delivery, strong observability, and collaborative development practices
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote within Spain, with a hybrid option available at a Barcelona hub - Flexible working hours, with typically only a couple of meetings per week - Summer intensive schedule in July and August (seven-hour days, earlier finish) - 23 paid holidays plus an additional paid day for birthday or work anniversary - Private healthcare and dental plan for you and subsidized for your family - Access to a large gym network for a symbolic fee for you and your family - Mental wellness platform with online psychological support and counseling - Free English classes - Flexible remuneration system covering restaurant card, transportation, kindergarten, and training tax savings
