Controls Engineer 3

Role overview Develop and commission PLC software for conveyor systems and related material handling equipment used in settings such as parcel operations, baggage handling, warehousing, and manufacturing. The work spans interpreting project requirements, programming and testing controls, documenting results, and supporting on site startup and customer handover.

Responsibilities - Clarify project scope, specifications, and design requirements with project managers, customers, and other team members. - Develop annotated PLC programs that follow system drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and customer requirements. - Test software and document procedures and results in line with internal and customer requirements, including commissioning records. - Join project teams for field testing, commissioning, startup, and system handover. - Travel to project sites as needed and participate in customer instruction and training. - Troubleshoot control system issues and work with other programmers and project teams to develop sound solutions.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline. - Experience with Rockwell RSLogix and ControlLogix platforms. - Knowledge of Ethernet/IP and industrial control networks such as ControlNet and DeviceNet. - Ability to read project and system documentation, reason through technical problems, and troubleshoot operating issues. - Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and other programmers. - Willingness and ability to travel approximately 65–75%, including some weekends.

Nice to have - Experience with Proface or PanelView software. - HMI development experience.
