Senior Software Engineer, Vendor Data Platform

Role overview

A senior full-stack engineer is needed to take ownership of a vendor data platform that ingests messy vendor information and produces clean, unified, trustworthy records. The role spans backend services, public-facing APIs, and operator-facing screens, partnering closely with a tech lead and product team to shape architecture and delivery end to end. It suits someone who wants real production ownership rather than ticket-driven work, in a fast-moving, multi-tenant SaaS context.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate the platform end to end across backend and frontend layers - Develop and maintain the APIs that downstream systems depend on, alongside the dashboards and screens used by operations teams - Own vendor data mastering, entity matching, deduplication, and reconciliation, including the data-quality checks that keep records reliable - Scale the platform across many client tenants and growing data volumes using asynchronous and event-driven processing - Collaborate with the tech lead on architecture decisions and with product on prioritization - Maintain code quality through reviews, automated tests, and a disciplined development process

Requirements

- Five or more years of professional software engineering experience with real production ownership - Strong Python skills and modern API development experience - Frontend experience with Angular or React, paired with TypeScript - Solid SQL and relational data modeling skills - Hands-on cloud experience with Azure or AWS - Background with multi-tenant or multi-client systems - Familiarity with event-driven or message-based architectures - Ability to work independently from design through production, partner closely with product, and keep pace in a fast-moving environment

Nice to have

- Experience working with large, messy datasets, including matching, deduplication, transformation, and reconciliation across sources - Background in payments, accounts payable, fintech, or fund administration - Familiarity with entity resolution, record linkage, or AI-assisted matching - Hands-on use of AI development tools
