Role overview
A senior individual contributor role focused on building and improving a Warehouse Execution System and Warehouse Control System (WES/WCS) used in material handling environments. The position blends hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership, mentoring, and direct support for customer deployments, including approximately 15% travel for on-site commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership to shape product strategy and contribute to the software roadmap. - Design, build, and enhance the WES/WCS platform across an event-driven microservices architecture. - Develop backend services, integrations, AI capabilities, and user interfaces using modern open-source frameworks. - Lead design and delivery for customer projects and internal research initiatives using Agile practices. - Mentor entry-level and mid-level developers and support the broader Software Delivery team. - Help translate team performance data into process improvements and encourage technical innovation.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in industrial software development. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency with open-source frameworks, the Linux command line, Git-based source control, modern IDEs, Microsoft Office, and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. - Ability and availability to support roughly 15% travel for customer commissioning. - Demonstrated ability to mentor others and collaborate across disciplines. - Self-directed work style with creative problem-solving skills and comfort managing multiple priorities.

- Experience supporting production deployments and on-site integration work in warehouse, logistics, or material handling contexts.
