We usually try to find out what your superpower is and find you a team or project that fits your interests. We offer everything from Data & AI to Cloud, Finance & Operations – you name it, chances are high we have an exciting real case for you to work on. What do we offer you during an internship at delaware? Full ownership of your own project: you are in charge and decide how you tackle the challenge. In the end, you’ll be the expert on your internship topic and our colleagues will be happy to hear your thoughts. A lot of learning and dedicated guidance by a team of consultants. An innovation project that brings actual value to us or our customers. As an intern, you won’t be running back and forth to the coffee machine. How did these interns experience their time at delaware? Lenny – MS Integration, Antwerp During my internship with the Microsoft Integration team , I was tasked with researching new services in Azure to see how they can be used to improve client solutions in terms of security and usability. This was a lot of fun, as I got the chance to work and experiment with the newest technologies. I made several proofs of concept and was allocated a good budget, so I didn’t need to make any big compromises and could go pretty far in finding out what exactly these services could do. The atmosphere is great in the office and colleagues are always friendly and helpful. I was assigned a senior consultant to mentor me and help me out with any problems I encountered. He was always prepared to free up time when I needed his help. Yassine – Engage, Liège The project I worked on as an intern web developer involved the creation of a team event management application where questions related to preferences are asked, for example, location, type of activity, overnight stay, etc. The frontend part (what the user sees) was done with React and the backend part (where the data is stored and managed) was done with .NET . I really enjoyed the fact that we used modern languages on the project, and throughout my internship my mentor helped me whenever I was struggling. Gilles – Customer Moments, Ghent My internship at delaware was a very informative and interesting experience. I had the opportunity to see what a consultant’s job really looks like and had the chance to work independently on challenging projects . My mentor was always there to clarify and help. The atmosphere within the team was incredible, both during and after work. A real plus for me was the connection I had with my fellow interns , not just with my own team but across the whole company. It was interesting to see what others were doing and it helped me to understand what every department within delaware does. Prior to my internship I still had no idea what I wanted to do after graduating. One thing I know for sure is that the internship has helped me develop a clearer vision of what I want to do in the future. Ségolène – Data & AI, Luxembourg Enriching and calm would be the two words I would choose to sum up my internship at delaware. On the one hand, there is a very serious aspect when working to deliver quality work . And on the other hand, there is a calm and friendly atmosphere among colleagues. I felt very welcome at delaware and I was delighted to discover the world of IT consultancy . Wout – Core Technology Services, Kortrijk My project concerned the automation of SELinux security patching . The internship gave me the opportunity to develop both my soft and hard skills , which is a great asset as I come to the end of my studies. The working atmosphere among both interns and other consultants was always great. I could always count on help and advice from experts . Walid – Omnichannel Development, Wavre I had the opportunity to do my internship at delaware and I genuinely appreciate it. It was a valuable experience that helped me improve my hard and soft skills by working with a talented team on a significant project. Every morning, we had a daily scrum meeting to share what we had achieved and what issues we were facing. My colleagues were available to help me at any time. Day by day I developed better and more sustainable features . What do you need to know? Some frequently asked questions about internships at delaware. Do I have the right profile to do an internship at delaware? There’s a diverse range of people doing internships at delaware, ranging from developers to commercial engineers and everything in between. The only thing we expect from you is to believe in IT solutions, be eager to learn and to be okay with working on your project autonomously , even if a whole team is working next to you. What are the conditions to apply? We consider all applications but prefer internships that last at least 2 months . As you would get an innovation project to work on, it would be hard to get started and integrate in the company in a shorter period of time. That’s also why we prefer to have you on board full time (or at least three days a week). In terms of languages: English is a must-have, but French communication skills are also required to better integrate in our offices. Good to know: you do not need a driver’s license to do an internship at delaware. How do I know if you have the right internship project for me? You will be applying for an internship in general, before choosing a specific project. We'll have a first phone call to discuss your interests, so you can tell us what you expect from your internship regarding the topic, language, timing, location, etc. Then we will try to find the perfect project for you to work on and a mentor who will guide you along the way. As our consultants are moving around a lot to meet with customers, work from home, go to the different delaware offices ,… we want to make sure you get an internship project that you work on autonomously . You can do your own project from A to Z with different colleagues to help you solve any questions you may have. When is the best time to apply for an internship? Whenever you’re ready! Our internship offer is always online and we'll always consider your application. However, there are some key moments to take into account if you want to have more project opportunities . For internships starting between February and June, students usually apply between September and November. For internships starting from September, we receive most applications over the summer months. Keep in mind: The sooner the better, as we need some time to build a project for you. What does the application process look like? After you’ve sent us your application , you will first be contacted by one of our recruiters to set up a call. During the call, you can tell us more about your internship expectations and constraints. We will then explore the best internship option for you together. Once we’ve found a team that matches your interests, we’ll organize a (virtual) interview with the counsellor or manager for you to align on the project and practicalities. If both parties are convinced, you can provide us with your internship contract, and we'll sign it together! Does delaware offer paid internships? Yes, in some cases we do. If your internship is compulsory and lasts as long or longer than 4 weeks, we will offer you compensation, based on the government’s guidelines. stories you may like "I’d get on my scooter with a big smile every day" "IT is not just for male nerds, women have numerous career options in the industry" delaware Luxembourg: how differences make the difference Study trip in Amsterdam enables software students to put theory into practice discover more
