Product Manager

Role overview

Own product direction for software delivery tools and packages that support secure application packaging and internal teams. The role spans open source and paid offerings, connecting customer needs, business goals, and engineering work in a remote, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

- Set and communicate product vision, objectives, and roadmap to engineers, executives, customers, and other stakeholders. - Turn external requests into prioritized plans while balancing customer value, business goals, technical needs, and limited resources. - Coordinate engineering delivery and align growth and delivery teams on roadmap, value proposition, customer segments, and pricing needs. - Participate in and support open source communities around the products. - Work with engineering and design to weigh roadmap priorities against implementation effort, and present product information in customer discussions. - Use product and collaboration tools to manage plans and information, and keep current with product management, DevOps, regulated IT, and cloud native practices.

Requirements

- Experience owning a software product from vision through delivery for multiple customer groups, including paid and open source users. - Ability to translate business strategy and customer needs into a clear product roadmap and explain priorities at different levels of an organization. - Experience delivering software with Agile practices and working closely with engineering on technical tradeoffs. - Strong judgment in balancing customer, business, and technical priorities with constrained resources. - Comfort working independently in a fast-paced remote setting and presenting to customers. - Familiarity with common task, knowledge, and code management tools.

Nice to have

- Understanding of DevSecOps pipelines and their supporting tools, plus Kubernetes concepts such as container images and Helm charts. - Analytical skills using data and metrics to inform decisions. - Experience shaping a product value proposition and monetization approach for open source software.
