QA Engineer - Remote

Role overview Help ensure software products meet functional and technical expectations through structured testing and clear defect reporting. This hands-on QA role covers manual checks, API and regression testing, with opportunities to build automation skills and work across web, enterprise, cloud and AI-enabled applications. You’ll work with engineering and product colleagues throughout development and release.

Responsibilities - Review requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; prepare test plans, scenarios and supporting documentation. - Carry out functional, regression, integration, smoke and exploratory testing across responsive web applications. - Check APIs, request and response data, authentication and integrations; perform database validation when needed. - Reproduce and document defects, coordinate investigation with developers and verify fixes. - Validate interfaces against designs and support release and post-deployment checks. - Create and maintain automated tests, contribute to continuous testing and CI/CD, and improve QA processes. - Participate in planning and quality reviews with developers, product, design and DevOps colleagues.

Requirements - Degree in computer science, software engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Around 1–4 years of QA or software testing experience. - Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to manage testing work independently in a remote team. - Familiarity with browser developer tools and a basic understanding of SQL and relational databases. - Understanding of Agile or Scrum development.

Nice to have - Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or another test automation framework. - Basic knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or another programming language. - Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or GitHub Issues. - Exposure to performance, security or AI application testing.
