Role overview A senior software engineering role focused on building cloud-native, event-driven data pipelines and applying machine learning within a music rights platform. The engineer joins a cross-functional product team that designs, ships, and operates its own product used by collective rights management organizations. The position blends backend data engineering, ML and LLM work, and shared responsibility for running services in a microservices environment.
Responsibilities - Design and build cloud-native, event-driven data pipelines in Python, covering ingestion, enrichment, classification, matching, and merging of records. - Develop semantic search and clustering algorithms that intelligently merge event and venue data, together with LLM-based components for extraction and validation. - Measure and improve the quality of models and pipelines through data-driven analysis, using tracking and tracing to keep the full data flow transparent. - Treat CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and testing as integral parts of everyday development. - Share responsibility for stable deployments and service operation alongside platform, backend, and frontend engineers. - Collaborate closely with business and product colleagues to design technical solutions that deliver real value.
Requirements - Several years of experience building distributed systems or microservices, ideally in Python. - Strong interest in data processing, machine learning, and LLMs, with high standards for reliable and traceable data. - Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or comparable technologies. - Some experience with container, deployment, and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform. - Comfort working in cross-functional, agile teams. - Good English skills for communicating in an international team.
Nice to have - Familiarity with Python libraries and frameworks such as FastAPI, gRPC, Pandas, or Poetry. - Exposure to GCP services including Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, or Firestore. - Experience with CI/CD tooling like Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Terraform, or SonarCloud.
