Loancrate - Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Role overview Design and deliver software that automates complex mortgage operations, including multi-step AI workflows and integrations with external lending services. The work spans product engineering and cloud infrastructure, with responsibility for taking features from design through production and supporting other engineers.

Responsibilities - Architect and build AI agents that coordinate multi-step mortgage workflows. - Integrate lending service APIs for disclosures, underwriting, and fraud-related processes. - Develop AWS-based job processing systems with strong reliability and observability. - Ship production software early and help less experienced engineers grow.

Requirements - 7–25 years of full-stack web development experience, including design and deployment; at least 5 years at senior level. - Strong experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL. - Practical experience with AWS and Terraform. - A security-focused and reliability-focused engineering approach, plus experience designing complex relational data models. - Ability to work US hours; visa transfers only, including OPT or H-1B transfers.

Nice to have - Experience with the AI product lifecycle, including evaluation methods and datasets. - Familiarity with Docker and AWS services such as ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote within the US. - Compensation of $150,000–$350,000 plus equity.
