Sr. MarkLogic Developer

Role overview A senior consulting role focused on building a flexible, scalable, data-centric knowledge platform. The work blends architecture, hands-on engineering, and cross-team leadership, with a remote-first, globally distributed engineering culture.

Responsibilities - Architect and implement systems that advance the platform's data integration and semantic capabilities. - Research and evaluate emerging technologies, continuously improving the codebase and development processes. - Lead technical discussions in architecture forums, evangelize best practices, and mentor engineers across teams. - Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to share knowledge with the broader community. - Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features incrementally and reliably.

Requirements - Strong proficiency with MarkLogic, Java, XQuery, XSLT, and semantic technologies. - Demonstrated ability to abstract complex problems into clean, elegant designs and implementations. - Solid experience designing and developing REST APIs for large cross-functional projects. - Comfort working on a cloud platform such as AWS or Azure. - Proven team player with a pragmatic, productivity-focused mindset.
