Senior Full Stack Engineer

Role overview

A senior full-stack engineering role focused on building and scaling a healthcare data platform that connects and activates health information across providers, payers, researchers, and life sciences organizations. The position involves substantial ownership from day one, contributing to user-facing applications, scalable backend services, APIs, and the data systems that handle millions of healthcare records and transactions. The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural influence across a multi-service product surface.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that power a healthcare data ecosystem - Partner closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver polished user experiences - Develop scalable frontend apps, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions supporting large-scale record and transaction volumes - Guide technical design decisions and shape architecture patterns that enable long-term scalability and maintainability - Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous learning - Own substantial projects end-to-end, from design through deployment and ongoing operation - Share expertise through technical discussions, mentorship, and contributions to an engineering blog

Requirements

- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems - Strong full-stack engineering experience, including modern frontend development and backend services - Hands-on experience building customer-facing applications with React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks - Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications - Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code, lead thoughtful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices - Demonstrated success leading projects from concept to production through complex technical challenges - Strong collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and design teams, with a passion for mentoring

Nice to have

- Comfort working across a polyglot backend (Python, Go, Java) with microservices, REST, and GraphQL - Familiarity with modern data and infrastructure tooling, including AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Spark, Airflow or Glue, and Kafka or Kinesis

Benefits and work setup
