Senior Production Engineer - Realtime Products

Role overview Improve the reliability, security, and performance of real-time data and AI services used by customers. This senior production engineering role spans monitoring, automation, incident response, and infrastructure improvements across a large distributed platform. It includes participation in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation.

Responsibilities - Build monitoring and detection that surfaces service issues early and helps explain workload performance and customer experience. - Develop dependable automation for debugging and mitigating production incidents. - Improve service reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency across system boundaries. - Lead incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and implement lasting corrective actions. - Coordinate follow-up work with engineering, security, support, and infrastructure partners, including customer infrastructure teams. - Use automation and operational improvements to prevent recurring issues and strengthen production services.

Requirements - 5+ years in production engineering, SRE, infrastructure, backend engineering, customer reliability, or a related field. - Experience monitoring and alerting for complex stateful systems, using methods such as workload alerts, anomaly detection, and probing. - Experience with PostgreSQL, managed databases, or distributed systems. - Background in incident management and on-call support for critical infrastructure. - Strong programming ability in a language such as Python, Go, Java, or Scala. - Proficiency with infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code, plus sound judgment and collaboration during complex incidents. - Experience applying AI to production or operational challenges; a computer science or related degree at bachelor’s level or higher is requested.

Nice to have - Experience with a major cloud platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, or real-time database services. - Background building internal platforms, operational tools, or developer productivity systems.
