Senior Manager, Finance Systems (Canada)

Role overview

Lead the strategy and delivery of finance systems, starting with a core enterprise resource planning platform and expanding to tools supporting purchasing, sales, and financial close processes. This role combines hands-on configuration and process improvement with leadership of technical contributors, helping finance operations scale while maintaining reliable data, controls, and reporting.

Responsibilities - Help define the finance systems function, including its operating model, responsibilities, and team development as it grows. - Set standards and improve processes for system configuration, data management, integrations, and reporting. - Establish practices for data integrity, user access, security, testing, and deployment across finance systems. - Configure and administer the finance platform while overseeing technical resources delivering scripts, integrations, and related solutions. - Translate finance needs into technical specifications and coordinate delivery with Accounting, Engineering, and Operations. - Improve finance reporting and analysis by ensuring teams can access dependable, useful system data.

Requirements - At least 4 years managing or leading finance systems projects, with successful delivery in a growth environment. - At least 7 years working with core finance systems and processes, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, order management, or procurement. - Significant hands-on experience configuring and administering NetSuite; familiarity with SuiteScript and integrations is expected or strongly useful. - Understanding of integrations and data flows, with the ability to turn functional needs into technical requirements. - Experience implementing new finance systems or scaling existing systems to meet expanding business needs. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to make complex system issues clear to non-technical partners.

Nice to have

Experience in a mid-sized, high-growth or manufacturing business; NetSuite Administrator certification; familiarity with other systems supporting purchasing, order-to-cash, or financial reporting; experience managing internal and external technical resources; or data visualization tools such as Looker or Hex.
