Senior Manager, Business Systems

Role overview A senior leadership role within a venture-backed, high-growth organization, owning the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of finance systems. The position begins with a primary focus on the NetSuite environment and is expected to broaden over time to encompass additional platforms supporting Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report processes. The role blends hands-on configuration and process design with team leadership, partnering across Finance, Engineering, and Operations to deliver scalable, automated, data-driven outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities - Define the structure, vision, and growth paths of the finance systems function as the team expands - Design, build, and optimize processes, methodologies, and tooling across NetSuite and adjacent finance platforms, setting standards for configuration, data management, integrations, and reporting - Establish and enforce best practices for system configuration, data integrity, user management, security, testing, and deployment to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability - Lead and guide internal or external technical resources delivering SuiteScript development, API integrations, and other technical requirements - Champion data-driven decision support, equipping Finance stakeholders with the reporting and analysis capabilities needed for efficient operations

Requirements - 4+ years leading finance systems projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a track record of successful delivery - 7+ years of hands-on experience with core finance systems and deep functional knowledge across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Order Management, and Procurement - Significant NetSuite configuration and administration experience, ideally with working knowledge of SuiteScript and integrations - Strong grasp of system integrations and data flows, with the ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications - Demonstrated experience implementing new finance systems or scaling existing ones to support rapid business growth - Strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable partnering with Accounting, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders and translating complex system issues into clear insights

Nice to have - NetSuite Administrator certification - Background in mid-sized, high-growth companies or in manufacturing environments - Familiarity with additional finance systems relevant to P2P, O2C, and R2R processes - Experience managing both internal and external technical resources - Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Hex
