Role overview
Support and administer enterprise identity services centered on PingFederate, with responsibility for single sign-on, authentication, and federation in production. This experienced support role handles complex incidents, keeps identity integrations reliable and secure, and participates in an on-call rotation. The engagement is a three-month fixed-term contract with a possible extension.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PingFederate, including identity provider and service provider connections, adapters, and authentication policies. - Support SSO and federation integrations using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect. - Investigate failed logins, token problems, certificate errors, and federation outages; provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident response and root cause analysis. - Support connections to directory services and enterprise applications, including Active Directory, LDAP, and Microsoft Entra ID. - Carry out platform upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and health monitoring. - Coordinate with identity, security, and infrastructure teams; maintain technical documentation and contribute to change management and disaster recovery activities.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in application support, identity and access management, or enterprise authentication. - Strong practical experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting PingFederate in production. - Working knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, federation connections, authentication policies, and application integrations. - Familiarity with UNIX or Linux, Active Directory, LDAP, and Microsoft Entra ID. - Experience with JSON, PowerShell, Git, and regular expressions, plus strong production troubleshooting and incident management skills. - A relevant bachelor’s degree or technical certification, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with PingAccess, PingDirectory, or PingOne; PingFederate upgrades, migrations, and high-availability setups; or PKI, certificates, encryption, networking, and security protocols. - Background supporting large-scale enterprise identity environments.
