Role overview
A Software Engineer in Test role on a computer vision data annotation platform. The engineer will design, build, and maintain automated testing strategies for an open-source product, helping ensure the accuracy and robustness of machine learning and data tooling infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve automated tests across the web and server codebases - Build familiarity with internal systems and partner with developers and community members on coverage gaps - Tune infrastructure to make builds and test runs faster and more reliable - Plan test coverage improvements based on product specs and technical design docs - Review requirements from a testability angle and recommend process or tooling changes
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Python - Hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript - API testing skills using tools such as Swagger or Postman - Working knowledge of relational databases such as SQLite or PostgreSQL - Familiarity with Kubernetes and with performance or stress testing
