About this role
Role overview Lead technology diligence and improvement engagements for investors and business leaders. The work spans enterprise applications, infrastructure, managed services, and the processes those systems support, with many initial assignments moving at transaction pace. You will turn interviews, system evidence, and operating data into clear assessments, investment priorities, and practical next steps.
Responsibilities - Lead buy-side and sell-side technology reviews, including evidence analysis, interviews, buyer readiness, remediation planning, and responses to buyer questions. - Assess ERP, warehouse, CRM, and professional-services systems, examining integrations, data, controls, adoption, licensing, lifecycle risks, and upgrade or replacement needs. - Walk through end-to-end processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, project delivery, financial close, workforce management, and warehouse operations to identify breakdowns and capacity limits. - Review traditional and hybrid infrastructure, including data centres, networks, identity, backup, disaster recovery, and moves of packaged applications to cloud infrastructure. - Evaluate managed service providers, IT operations, contracts, performance, and governance; support provider selection or service remediation when needed. - Estimate technology investments and, where appropriate, shape roadmaps, provider choices, programme oversight, or interim leadership support.
Requirements - Significant leadership or delivery experience in enterprise systems, IT operations, technology transformation, or transaction advisory. - A track record leading multiple rapid technology assessments for private equity, corporate M&A, or portfolio-company environments. - Broad knowledge across enterprise resource planning and warehouse systems, CRM or professional-services automation, and traditional infrastructure or managed services, with deep experience in at least two areas. - Accountability for major systems or business-process outcomes, transformation programmes, budgets, providers, or IT operations. - Experience conducting process walkthroughs and assessing several cross-functional processes, as well as selecting, implementing, upgrading, or rationalising enterprise systems. - Strong analytical and financial judgment, clear communication with technical and executive audiences, and the ability to work independently in fast-moving client settings.
Nice to have - Experience as a senior IT leader, enterprise systems programme lead, technology operating partner, or M&A technology advisor. - Background in services, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or another sector where systems directly affect revenue and delivery. - Familiarity with Salesforce, professional-services platforms, warehouse management systems, or e-commerce; experience turning assessments into roadmaps or implementation oversight is also useful. - A relevant bachelor's degree; equivalent practical experience is valued.
