Head of AI Ops

Role overview Lead a small central team that helps departments build, improve, and reuse AI agents and automations. The role combines hands-on delivery with organization-wide oversight: helping teams ship dependable solutions, measuring their value and cost, and making effective patterns available across the business. The team partners with departments rather than acting as an approval gate.

Responsibilities - Set priorities and allocate the central team’s time across requests from business functions. - Work alongside teams to design, build, stabilize, and hand over AI agents, skills, and workflow automations. - Identify useful solutions and components that can be reused by other teams. - Track AI usage, spending, outcomes, and efficiency; explain the investment case with evidence. - Establish practical ways to measure impact, monitor operations, and improve the shared AI environment. - Guide the small team while remaining capable of building and troubleshooting solutions directly.

Requirements - Senior experience delivering AI-enabled operations, automation, or workflow programs across multiple business functions. - Ability to lead a small team and set priorities while influencing teams that do not report to you. - Hands-on familiarity with AI assistants and agent features, automation orchestration, and connector-based integrations. - Comfort using data to analyze usage, cost, and business impact; SQL experience is relevant. - Practical scripting ability in TypeScript or Python is useful for building and adapting solutions. - Strong judgment and communication skills to weigh business value, reuse, and operational needs.

Nice to have - Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian alongside English. - Experience with Claude Projects, Skills or Plugins, Notion AI agents, n8n, Make, MCP connectors, Claude Analytics, or Datadog.

Benefits and work setup - Permanent, remote role for candidates based in Europe. - Gross annual salary of €80,000–€100,000 and equity through a virtual stock option plan.
