About this role
Role overview Own product analytics for an area of a two-sided food marketplace, helping teams understand how customers discover and order meals and how assortment and merchandising influence those choices. This senior individual contributor partners with Product, Design, Engineering, and User Research to turn uncertain questions into measurable learning and actionable product decisions.
Responsibilities - Analyze discovery and ordering behavior across chefs, meals, cuisines, dietary needs, price points, and local assortment. - Map the customer journey from acquisition through first order, repeat purchase, and longer-term retention; identify friction and meaningful customer segments. - Design and evaluate experiments by setting hypotheses, success metrics, guardrails, sample sizes, and holdouts; explain uncertainty and recommend next steps. - Assess product changes against customer value and marketplace economics, including order frequency, churn, revenue, discounts, and chef engagement. - Combine behavioral data with research and customer feedback to assess ordering, account, delivery, and support experiences. - Define product metrics, cohorts, event tracking, and dashboards; validate instrumentation and share findings with cross-functional teams.
Requirements - Strong product analytics skills and the ability to turn ambiguous questions into focused analyses or learning plans. - Sound experimental design and statistical judgment, including careful interpretation of causal evidence and uncertainty. - Ability to build intuitive dashboards that support reliable self-service analysis and surface useful insights. - Clear data storytelling and effective collaboration with product, design, engineering, research, and business partners. - Ability to evaluate AI-enabled product experiences using metrics, experiments, user feedback, and quality checks. - Curiosity about customer behavior and the operational realities of a local marketplace.
