About this role
Role overview Join a small engineering team building and modernizing digital products and internal business systems across a multi-brand hospitality business. In this hands-on senior or staff role, you’ll own work from early problem definition through production, while helping shape architecture and practical AI-assisted development practices.
Responsibilities - Deliver full-stack features across user interfaces, APIs, business logic, and data, then measure and improve them after launch. - Connect existing applications and enterprise platforms, with careful handling of sensitive customer, employee, and financial information. - Turn unclear business needs into technical plans and manageable tasks for engineers and AI agents. - Use AI agents for research, prototyping, implementation, testing, refactoring, and documentation; review their output against the real system. - Improve architecture, development standards, tests, monitoring, and documentation as the platform grows. - Work with product and design partners, review code, pair with teammates, and support onboarding and mentorship.
Requirements - At least 6 years building production software for the senior level; staff-level candidates should bring 9+ years and experience owning architecture across systems. - Strong knowledge of relational data, including SQL, schema design, transactions, and migrations; familiarity with modern data platforms is also expected. - A quality- and security-minded approach that includes testing, accessibility, input validation, authentication, authorization, and common web risks. - Practical experience using AI agents for multi-step engineering work, including writing clear specifications and checking generated work. - Product judgment: investigate the underlying problem, make sound trade-offs, and favor simple, maintainable solutions.
Nice to have - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, infrastructure as code, or reverse ETL pipelines. - Experience establishing systems and engineering practices early in a team’s growth. - Background in hospitality, events, real estate, or another customer-facing business with multiple locations.
Benefits and work setup - Listed base salary range: $150,000–$200,000, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus; pay may vary by location and experience. - Health coverage, virtual and emotional wellness support, family planning benefits, paid parental leave, paid time off, and a year-end holiday closure. - Retirement plan with employer match, education support, career development, recognition programs, and volunteer opportunities.
