Remote job
TypeScript Full Stack Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview TypeScript runs through every layer of this stack, from Node services on the back end to Next.js, React, and SvelteKit on the front, with shared types keeping client and server in honest agreement. This is a genuine full-stack position: designing data models, writing APIs, and shipping the interface that users actually touch. The work includes headless commerce integrations and surfaces that wrap LLM-driven features.
Responsibilities - Design Postgres schemas and write the queries, paying attention to indexes and the query plan rather than relying on the ORM alone. - Build typed APIs (REST, GraphQL, or tRPC) where the compiler enforces the client–server contract. - Ship interfaces in Next.js, React, or SvelteKit with server rendering, real loading states, and error boundaries that do something useful. - Connect client platforms to commerce and ERP systems such as Shopify, NetSuite, and QuickBooks, including webhook handlers, sync jobs, and reconciliation logic. - Wire LLM and agent capability into product surfaces, handling streaming, tool calls, and graceful failure when a model misbehaves. - Write tests that earn their place and review code in a way that leaves the codebase more navigable than you found it.
Requirements - Four or more years shipping production TypeScript across both server and browser. - Strong React or Svelte, with a real understanding of the rendering model rather than just the API surface. - Node.js service experience with Postgres, including schema design and migrations. - A track record of integrating poorly documented third-party APIs and making them reliable.
Nice to have - Headless commerce experience with Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or a headless CMS such as Sanity or Contentful. - Production experience building LLM-backed product features. - Comfort in a second language such as Python or Go.
