Physical AI Field Delivery Engineer (FDE)

Role overview Design and deliver Physical AI solutions that connect sensing and autonomous systems with industrial and operational needs. This senior field delivery role spans solution design, proof-of-concept work, production deployment, and operational improvement, working with engineering teams, architects, customers, and business stakeholders. The position is remote and based in Portugal.

Responsibilities - Build and implement AI solutions for industrial and operational environments. - Develop computer vision and edge AI applications, including inference workflows optimized for deployment. - Integrate data from cameras, LiDAR, industrial sensors, and telemetry into useful applications. - Contribute to robotics and autonomous systems involving perception, navigation, and sensor-based decisions. - Help design edge-to-cloud architectures and connect AI systems with enterprise platforms and existing automation or control systems. - Work with customers to understand operational challenges, run workshops and proofs of concept, support deployments, troubleshoot live systems, and document results.

Requirements - At least five years of relevant experience developing and deploying AI applications in real-world environments. - Strong hands-on computer vision skills, including OpenCV, object detection, and video analytics. - Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and deploying models on edge hardware. - Knowledge of edge AI performance optimization and production deployment. - Ability to work across technical and customer-facing discussions, turning operational needs into practical solutions.

Benefits and work setup Full-time, 100% remote position for candidates based in Portugal. The stated gross annual salary range is €36,000–€45,000.
