Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – Agentic AI, Americas

Role overview

The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) position centers on delivering agentic AI solutions to customers throughout the Americas. Forward deployed engineers operate at the intersection of hands-on software development and customer-facing delivery, embedding with client teams to design, build, and operationalize AI systems that act autonomously. The role is situated in the United States and supports engagements across the wider region.

Responsibilities

- Partner with client stakeholders to identify operational problems where agentic AI can deliver measurable value - Design, prototype, and deploy autonomous AI agents within customer environments and workflows - Integrate AI systems with existing customer infrastructure, applications, and data sources - Provide hands-on engineering support across the full deployment lifecycle, from scoping through handover - Relay field insights, technical constraints, and customer feedback back to internal product and engineering teams

Requirements

- Professional experience as a software engineer, ideally with customer-facing, consulting, or embedded delivery exposure - Working knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning systems, including agent-based or autonomous architectures - Willingness and ability to travel to client sites across the Americas as engagements require - Strong communication skills for translating between technical teams and business stakeholders
