Role overview A member support specialist is needed to guide new self-employed members and small business owners through onboarding for an all-in-one platform that handles incorporation, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and access to an advisor network. The role blends customer support, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive outreach in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities - Serve as the primary point of contact for member questions throughout the onboarding journey. - Assist with inquiries related to tax, accounting, payroll, and U.S. corporate structures, especially LLCs and S Corporations, leaning on cross-functional resources for accurate responses. - Manage inbound questions about the product, processes, taxes, and accounting via email and phone. - Send proactive updates and reminders about key onboarding milestones. - Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the onboarding experience.
Requirements - 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role such as a contact center, accounting, payroll, or tax-related environment. - Familiarity with U.S. taxes, tax-filing procedures, U.S. corporate structures including LLCs and S Corps, and comfort with online bookkeeping and payroll systems. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and manage conflict effectively. - Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. - Collaborative mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and proactively solving customer problems. - Confidence engaging with customers across email, phone, video, and text.
