Senior Software Engineer, Mobile QA

Role overview A senior engineering role focused on mobile quality assurance within an App Infrastructure team that is leading a full native rewrite of a large-scale consumer mobile application. The work centers on building the automated test infrastructure that protects release quality while the codebase transitions from React Native to native Swift and Kotlin. The position blends hands-on test engineering with architectural ownership, integrating verification directly into AI-assisted code generation so regressions are caught at commit time rather than in production.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and own automated regression suites for native iOS and Android builds, setting the project quality bar through code review and test standards. - Build test infrastructure that runs inside the AI-assisted code generation pipeline, enforcing automated test and performance checks at commit time. - Partner with mobile engineers to close coverage gaps, eliminate flaky tests, and replace manual debugging steps with faster automated workflows. - Architect the QA strategy for the greenfield rollout, balancing strict regression coverage with the need to ship urgent product changes. - Stand up quality dashboards and SLOs that surface app stability, dropped frames, stall counts, and cold start times in real time.

Requirements - 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on mobile test automation, including hands-on use of XCTest, Espresso, or comparable native testing frameworks. - Demonstrated track record building automated regression infrastructure integrated into CI/CD pipelines such as Buildkite or CircleCI. - Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin sufficient to read, debug, and write test code against native mobile codebases. - Comfort using generative AI tools with appropriate human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and output quality.
