About this role
Role overview A senior backend engineering position focused on building, scaling, and maintaining enterprise-grade services within an Agile Scrum pod. The role involves turning high-level architecture into clean, high-performance .NET solutions, owning microservices, RESTful APIs, and data layers end to end, while collaborating directly with architects, product owners, and database administrators.
Responsibilities - Design and develop multi-tier backend services and web APIs using .NET, C#, ASP.NET WebAPI, and OWIN. - Optimize and scale data access layers, ORM integrations, and relational database workloads on MS SQL Server with NHibernate and Dapper. - Partner with solution architects to research backend patterns, evaluate emerging tools, and enforce enterprise coding standards. - Build and maintain event-driven messaging pipelines and RESTful integration flows on Azure Service Bus. - Ship production-ready features every sprint through CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and thorough unit and integration testing. - Refine complex user stories into thin deliverable backend tasks and conduct rigorous peer code reviews inside a dedicated Scrum team.
Requirements - 5+ years of backend .NET software engineering and system architecture experience on enterprise-level platforms. - Advanced proficiency with C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET WebAPI, and RESTful web services. - Deep hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL optimization, and ORM or data access frameworks such as NHibernate and Dapper. - Proven track record implementing asynchronous messaging patterns with Azure Service Bus. - Strong background in CI/CD tooling (TeamCity, Octopus Deploy), Git, PowerShell automation, and TDD or unit testing. - Solid Scrum experience with the ability to break complex backend epics into modular, deliverable stories, plus fluent English communication.
Nice to have - NoSQL experience with MongoDB. - Familiarity with code quality tools such as dotCover and ReSharper for coverage and static analysis. - Exposure to microservices patterns and containerization with Docker or Azure Kubernetes Service. - Working knowledge of server-side scripting with Node.js or lightweight configuration management tools.
