Role overview A senior software engineer position focused on modernizing legacy enterprise systems into resilient, production-ready applications using Microsoft's modern stack. The role sits inside an agile Scrum delivery pod, anchoring end-to-end engineering work from architectural analysis through performance tuning. It is best suited for someone who combines deep hands-on coding with technical leadership and a drive to elevate overall engineering quality.
Responsibilities - Design and build secure, scalable web applications using C#, .NET, and component-based Blazor UI architectures. - Lead application modernization initiatives, including code analysis, migration planning, stack upgrades, and performance optimization. - Translate high-level product direction into concrete technical plans and deliver production-ready code at the end of each sprint. - Partner with product owners, enterprise architects, engineering leads, and QA teams to shape architectural decisions. - Evaluate emerging frameworks, AI-assisted development tools, and engineering patterns to codify standards across the team. - Tune backend business logic, SQL Server queries, and RESTful services for throughput, reliability, and security.
Requirements - At least 7 years of professional experience building enterprise software within the Microsoft ecosystem. - Strong proficiency in .NET Core / .NET 8+, C#, Blazor, and Microsoft SQL Server. - Mastery of modern web fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and component-based UI design. - Demonstrated skill in unit testing, CI/CD test patterns, and writing clean, maintainable code. - Hands-on use of AI productivity tooling (for example, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or Cursor) for code exploration and refactoring. - Advanced written and verbal English for client-facing collaboration, plus an ownership-driven, independent work style.
Nice to have - Exposure to .NET 10 features and Blazor WebAssembly or Server hybrid modes. - Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and Azure cloud services. - Familiarity with HIPAA or other regulated healthcare technology environments. - Comfort with Docker-based containerization and enterprise DevOps workflows.
