Role overview
A senior deployment program manager is needed to drive robotics programs from planning through real-world rollout, working closely with engineers, operations, and customer teams. The role focuses on deploying advanced robotic systems into customer sites and shaping how those deployments are run. The position is remote within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates near major airport hubs given an expected 30-60% travel expectation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee onsite testing and preparation of robot fleets before and during deployment - Coordinate across engineering, solutions, operations, and customer sales teams to define scope, milestones, and deliverables - Lead project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling across a portfolio of concurrent programs - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle - Partner with external customers to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and align on solutions - Drive continuous improvement through lessons-learned reviews and documented process changes - Maintain end-to-end accountability for delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field - 5+ years of project or program management experience leading complex deployments through full lifecycle stages - Experience deploying robotics, automation, or other innovative technologies in warehouses, manufacturing, or healthcare settings - Strong understanding of robotic systems, automation, hardware and software integration, and deployment methodologies - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to cross-functional and customer audiences - Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement and repeatable processes - Track record of building trusted customer relationships - Skilled at creating operational workflows, training materials, and deployment documentation - Willingness to travel 30-60% for customer visits and onsite implementation - Must have and maintain US work authorization
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field - Experience working with early-stage technology in a startup environment - Track record of introducing multiple robotic systems through to production - Experience with systems integration and architecture - Background managing concurrent pilot programs - Innovative problem-solving skills applied to streamlining deployment processes
