Data Analyst I

Role overview

Support public health research and program evaluation through data management, analysis, and reporting. The role combines quantitative and qualitative methods to help assess program implementation and outcomes, maintain reliable analytic datasets, and communicate findings to program teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Extract, clean, validate, harmonize, document, and maintain analytic datasets. - Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and interpret findings for program evaluation and improvement. - Examine implementation measures such as reach, fidelity, dose, and adaptation, including how these relate to outcomes. - Integrate qualitative and quantitative evidence to assess program delivery and results. - Prepare technical memoranda, tables, figures, reports, and presentations for evaluation and performance measurement work. - Use relevant administrative systems and office applications to support research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

Requirements

- A master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, data science, health informatics, or a related field is recommended. - At least five years of relevant experience in public health research, evaluation, data analysis, or data management. - Knowledge of public health research and evaluation methods, including mixed methods and implementation measures. - Ability to conduct analytical studies, interpret results, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly in writing and presentations. - Familiarity with program monitoring and evaluation procedures, government processes, and tools such as Microsoft Office; experience with human subjects, OMB, IRB, or e-clearance systems is relevant. - Ability to obtain and maintain any required customer clearance and complete applicable background investigations.
