About this role
Role overview Build and maintain software that helps healthcare information move reliably between systems. You’ll turn interoperability standards into working services and data flows, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, healthcare professionals, product managers, and operations staff to support better care.
Responsibilities - Develop and maintain production APIs, services, and pipelines that handle FHIR resources and HL7 messages. - Translate standards and implementation guides into data models, validation rules, code, and automated tests. - Protect clinical meaning and improve data quality as information is exchanged across systems. - Contribute to development practices, including testing and documenting key implementations. - Work with product and operational partners to shape and deliver features; take ownership of practical problems as they arise.
Requirements - At least five years of software engineering experience and hands-on experience delivering production software using FHIR and HL7. - Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Go. - Ability to write SQL queries and work with relational or analytical databases. - Comfort cleaning, normalizing, and improving data as part of engineering work. - Experience building and using REST APIs; familiarity with gRPC is helpful. - Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
