Principal Engineer — Power & Electrical Systems

Role overview Lead technical advisory and design work for data center electrical infrastructure, with a focus on facilities serving high-density AI workloads. The scope spans power architecture, distribution, backup systems, and energy use, including deployments targeting rack densities of 30 kW or more.

Responsibilities - Advise on electrical power architecture for data center projects. - Design and review high-density distribution across high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems. - Develop electrical designs involving UPS equipment, switchgear, and power distribution units. - Size backup power systems and shape generator strategy. - Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency in facility power systems.

Requirements - Deep expertise in data center power and electrical systems. - Experience designing or reviewing high-density electrical distribution. - Strong working knowledge of UPS, switchgear, and power distribution equipment. - Ability to assess backup power requirements and generator approaches. - Familiarity with the demands of AI infrastructure at 30 kW-plus rack densities.
