AI Governance Engineer

Role overview Shape the AI governance product by translating dense regulatory frameworks into clean, enforceable controls. The work pairs backend engineering with policy design, mapping AI systems to NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and SOC 2, and enforcing those policies in real time at the network gateway with an immutable audit trail.

Responsibilities - Build the policy engine and its real-time enforcement layer at the gateway. - Map AI systems to NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and SOC 2, producing actionable controls. - Design the immutable audit trail and the automatic gap-detection engine that flags drift. - Convert dense regulatory text into testable, versioned controls engineers can rely on.

Requirements - Strong backend engineering skills, ideally in Python. - Genuine interest in or hands-on experience with compliance, security, or policy systems. - Care for correctness, auditability, and clear data modeling. - Ability to read regulatory text carefully and turn it into working software.

Nice to have - Background in GRC, security engineering, or regulated industries.
