About this role
Role overview A part-time, remote technical presales and business development role focused on infrastructure opportunities in North America. You will find and qualify prospective customers, understand their migration needs, and collaborate with engineers to shape practical proposals. The work spans outbound sales, customer discovery, demonstrations, and coordination through the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities - Research North American organizations and identify CTOs, platform engineering leaders, IT managers, and other relevant buyers. - Contact prospects through tailored email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach; follow up to secure discovery meetings. - Lead discovery calls covering current infrastructure, business goals, budget, decision process, and migration timing. - Present technical services to business and technical audiences, linking architecture choices to cost, control, reliability, and operational needs. - Coordinate demos and proofs of concept with engineering, help scope proposals, and confirm delivery feasibility and commitments. - Maintain HubSpot contacts, company records, deal stages, activity logs, and follow-up tasks; report pipeline progress and share market feedback with engineering.
Requirements - Be a native English speaker with strong written communication and confident presentation skills. - Have proven B2B sales experience in Kubernetes, VMware, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, managed services, or a closely related field. - Understand containers, Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud versus self-hosted infrastructure well enough to qualify opportunities and know when engineering support is needed. - Have experience prospecting, cold outreach, lead qualification, and consultative sales follow-through. - Use HubSpot in practice for contact and company management, deal pipelines, tasks, reporting, and sales sequences. - Stay organized and explain business value, migration risks, costs, and trade-offs accurately; be available for North American customer hours and coordination with a European team.
Nice to have - Technical presales, sales engineering, or solution consulting experience, including demos and proofs of concept. - Familiarity with AWS or Azure migrations, VMware alternatives, Linux, networking, storage, or infrastructure automation. - Experience building cost-of-ownership analyses or business cases, or an established network among North American infrastructure buyers or partners.
Benefits and work setup - Part-time, remote work. Weekly hours and schedule are to be agreed around North American customer conversations.
