Project Engineer - BeNeLux

Role overview Deliver laboratory information system implementations for customers across the BeNeLux region, from software setup and workflow integration to training and handover. The role combines hands-on technical ownership with customer communication, small-project delivery, and opportunities to improve laboratory operations through better data use and automation.

Responsibilities - Install and configure laboratory systems, map daily processes, and implement LIS project work. - Prepare plans and documentation, deliver tasks to agreed project, budget, and quality expectations, and keep stakeholders informed. - Identify and communicate technical and data integrity risks, including those associated with AI-enabled functions. - Manage small projects, upgrades, handovers, and on-site customer deployments; train users on system data and reporting. - Serve as a technical contact between customers and development teams, and contribute input to sales estimates and service coordination. - Identify ways to improve workflows with automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; technical IT training combined with medical laboratory experience is also relevant. - Experience implementing LIS or LIMS systems and a strong understanding of laboratory processes. - Knowledge of healthcare communication standards such as HL7, ASTM, or IHE, and of operating systems, networking, and virtualization. - Fluency in Dutch, French, and English; German is an advantage. - Basic AI/ML understanding, ability to work with structured data and data flows, and awareness of privacy and governance considerations. - Ability to interpret data outputs and communicate technical recommendations, risks, and progress clearly.

Nice to have - Familiarity with dashboards, data extraction, or basic analytics and reporting.
