Senior Software Engineer (Typescript / Frontend) - AI/ML

Role overview A senior frontend-leaning role on an AI/ML engineering team responsible for building and operating end-to-end machine learning products for a cloud data platform. The position spans everything from backend inference services to user-facing interfaces inside the cloud console, and contributes to components like an agentic data stack, AI functions, an embedded copilot, and ecosystem integrations. The work is full-stack and product-oriented, with shared responsibility for shared AI components used by other teams.

Responsibilities - Design and implement AI-powered features across the stack, from backend inference services to intuitive frontend interfaces within the cloud platform. - Create robust, scalable APIs that connect database capabilities with modern AI/ML inference systems and external or internal AI services. - Implement and maintain integrations with the broader AI/ML ecosystem and standards, ensuring the platform works seamlessly with popular frameworks and tools. - Integrate models into production systems with proper monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation. - Participate in the daytime on-call rotation alongside the rest of the team. - Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces that make complex AI functionality accessible to users of varied technical backgrounds.

Requirements - 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments. - Exposure to working directly with AI/ML technologies. - High ownership with the ability to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision. - Ability to thrive in collaborative environments and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. - Strong frontend skills with TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.

Nice to have - Experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases. - Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly services related to AI/ML deployment. - Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines, with hands-on experience on the platform itself being a plus. - Experience building data-oriented interfaces and visualizations.
