Senior Product Designer - Click UI

Role overview

This designer will own the experience and ongoing development of an open-source design system used across a technical software ecosystem. The work spans visual direction, component design, feedback and adoption, and hands-on implementation, with close collaboration among product and engineering partners. The role suits someone who can move between design tools and a production codebase to improve the experience for both product users and system contributors.

Responsibilities - Set and maintain the design system’s visual standards, components, and interaction patterns. - Work with contributors and product teams to improve the system and encourage adoption of existing and new components. - Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, then iterate based on feedback. - Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers through end-to-end product work. - Use AI tools to streamline repetitive work and improve design and implementation quality. - Participate in feedback sessions with internal and external stakeholders and advocate for product quality.

Requirements - Strong visual design skills and experience building or maintaining a design system. - Experience designing complex software, ideally business software or developer tools. - Advanced Figma skills, including components, prototyping, and system design. - Frontend coding ability with CSS, React, and TypeScript, and comfort working in an established codebase. - Experience owning product work end to end with engineers and product managers. - Active interest in applying AI tools and comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Nice to have

Experience with multi-brand systems or supporting multiple technology stacks; design work for developer tools, data products, or IDEs; AI-assisted design or engineering workflows; open-source contributions; or experience in a distributed startup.
