About this role
Role overview
Build and evolve software for a platform that supports clinical diagnostic and laboratory operations. As a full-stack engineer on the team responsible for case management workflows, you will deliver user-facing features and backend services that help case information move through the lab reliably, while contributing to the platform’s scalability, security, and maintainability.
Responsibilities - Develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, alongside user-facing applications built with React and Next.js. - Create accessible, responsive interfaces and implement workflows that support the handling, organization, and prioritization of cases. - Design and integrate REST APIs and work with relational data stores such as PostgreSQL. - Write maintainable, testable, and observable code that meets performance and quality expectations. - Participate in architecture and design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and shared engineering practices. - Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners; take features from planning through release and help investigate production issues, including through on-call rotation.
Requirements - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Approximately 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development. - Proficiency with React, CSS, Node.js, and TypeScript. - Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL. - Strong grounding in software design, debugging, and modern engineering practices. - Ability to own medium-to-large features through delivery and communicate effectively with distributed teammates.
Nice to have - Experience in a regulated field such as healthcare or financial services, or with high-availability systems. - Exposure to Docker, AWS EKS, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, microservices, event-driven systems, or asynchronous workflows. - Familiarity with Python.
