Role overview This is the top client-facing implementation role within a professional services organization that helps public-sector agencies modernize service delivery through civic technology. The position sets the standard for how complex, multi-agency transformations are delivered at scale and serves as a trusted executive advisor and force multiplier for the broader delivery organization. It is built for a senior leader with deep experience guiding high-risk, high-visibility programs in government or civic technology contexts.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end delivery for the most complex, high-visibility engagements, including governance, schedules, budgets, milestones, and success criteria across concurrent implementations with multiple clients - Articulate strategic delivery priorities that align cross-functional teams, including implementation consultants, architects, technical account managers, and product and engineering - Continuously improve repeatable methodologies, structured retrospectives, and customer feedback loops, pioneering solutions where no standard playbook exists - Serve as a strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders such as mayors, CIOs, department directors, and agency heads, leading executive steering committees and adapting messaging in real time - Anticipate risks and stakeholder objections early, deploying engagement strategies that align competing interests and diffuse tension before escalation - Champion a delivery culture grounded in data-backed metrics that connect program performance to tangible civic outcomes like reduced permitting times and faster intake cycles
Requirements - Proven track record leading high-visibility, high-risk programs across government and civic technology - Recognized as a senior thought leader and trusted executive advisor with deep institutional delivery knowledge - Experience operating at an expert level across competency pillars such as delivery leadership, executive advisory, and quality assurance - Background guiding cross-functional teams without direct people management authority, influencing through credibility and experience - Strength in designing organizational structures and cultures that produce consistent, high-quality delivery outcomes
Nice to have - Background in organizational change management methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent - Demonstrated interest or hands-on experience applying AI tools to improve implementation workflows, documentation, or delivery efficiency - Experience in teams or practices transitioning toward AI-assisted delivery models
Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $195,000 to $235,000 CAD, depending on skills, experience, and internal pay alignment - Remote-first operating model with occasional in-person company-wide or departmental meetings, typically one to two times per year - Comprehensive background checks required as part of onboarding given the sensitive nature of public-sector work
