About this role
Role overview Lead a lean, high-ownership Risk Builder squad focused on credit, identity, and fraud surfaces across both customer acquisition and portfolio management. The mission is to scale onboarding, credit line decisions, and fraud defenses rapidly across Latin American markets without increasing losses.
Responsibilities - Own the full Risk product area, including onboarding risk checks, credit line adjustments, and internal tools used by the Fraud Risk Operations team. - Manage integrations with core credit and fraud vendors (decisioning engines, credit bureaus, KYC/ID validation providers), map gaps, and lead build-versus-buy decisions. - Translate complex risk model outputs into clean product experiences in partnership with Data Science and Credit Risk teams, designing around model uncertainty. - Define and track core metrics such as approval rates, fraud loss rates, credit utilization, line adjustment accuracy, and time-to-decision. - Accelerate delivery by writing clear PRDs, managing the product backlog, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders with minimal meeting overhead. - Build no-code or low-code workflow automations using tools such as N8N or specialized decisioning platforms. - Use AI coding tools to prototype concepts, make small code or configuration changes, and self-serve analytics dashboards.
Requirements - 5+ years in product management, including at least 2 years focused on risk, fraud, credit, identity, or lending-adjacent products in fintech or payments. - Technical fluency with GitHub workflows (branches, commits, PRs, diffs), API integrations, and webhook-based event flows, plus ability to prototype using AI coding tools. - Deep understanding of credit-line mechanics, KYC and ID verification vendor stacks, and fraud signals such as transaction blocking and step-up authentication. - Strong SQL skills with experience running cohort analyses, designing experiments, and building independent dashboards. - Exceptional written and verbal communication in English, with a track record of moving hard metrics like loss rates and approval rates. - High agency, comfort with ambiguity, and motivation to operate in a lean, fast-paced squad with significant autonomy.
Nice to have - Working or basic knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese, with willingness to learn. - Product experience in LatAm fintech markets, especially credit products in Mexico, Colombia, or Brazil. - Familiarity with specialized decisioning platforms and local real-time payment rails (e.g., SPEI, Pix, ACH) and their risk implications.
