Software Engineer, Front End & Design

Role overview Design and build web experiences and operational interfaces for a robotics-enabled electronics manufacturing environment. This hands-on role combines frontend engineering with product and visual design, covering customer workflows, internal tools, factory-floor screens, and ways for people to review and guide AI-assisted work.

Responsibilities - Develop customer-facing flows for file uploads, quotes, orders, and electronic board viewing. - Make information-dense administrative tools clear and efficient for teams managing business operations and AI workflows. - Design operator screens that communicate important information quickly in an active factory setting. - Create and maintain a consistent design system across web applications and machine interfaces. - Shape interfaces that help users review, direct, and trust work performed by AI agents. - Own product work end to end, from user conversations and design through implementation and deployment.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience shipping complete web applications with TypeScript and React, supported by work samples. - Strong UI and UX design judgment and a portfolio showing that capability. - Interest in owning product outcomes across user research, design, and implementation. - Ability to use coding agents while reviewing and taking responsibility for their output.

Nice to have - Data visualization experience, knowledge of Elm or other functional languages, or experience designing industrial and operator interfaces. - The web stack includes React, TanStack tools, Tailwind, Radix, and Bun.

Benefits and work setup - Compensation is listed as £80,000–£125,000 in the UK or $125,000–$250,000 in the US, depending on experience, plus equity.
