Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

This senior full-stack engineering role is focused on reinventing how developers interact with continuous integration and delivery as AI agents take on more of the software delivery loop. Beyond shipping code, the position sets technical direction, leads design discussions, and establishes patterns that other engineers build on. Like the broader engineering hiring model, placement is team-agnostic and matched to where the candidate's strengths create the most leverage.

Responsibilities

- Build features end to end in Go, React, and TypeScript, taking ownership of outcomes rather than handing off at layer boundaries. - Set technical direction for complex or ambiguous problems, leading design discussions, writing architectural decision records, and making the call when the answer is not obvious. - Invent new interfaces and interaction patterns for an era where pipelines run autonomously, generate fixes, and surface results requiring human judgment. - Treat reliability, latency, and responsiveness as design concerns, modeling that standard for the rest of the team. - Use observability tools such as Honeycomb, Datadog, and Rollbar to drive stability and operational improvements. - Identify gaps, close them, and address the underlying conditions that produced them, raising the quality bar for how the team works. - Mentor other engineers, give direct technical feedback, and influence quality through reviews and design conversations.

Requirements

- 5 or more years of production full-stack experience, with reliability, latency, and responsiveness treated as design concerns throughout. - Strong React and TypeScript skills, plus comfort owning backend services in Go, including API design, data modeling, and service integration. - Demonstrated AI-native engineering practice, with concrete examples of tools built, approaches changed, and limitations encountered. - Experience leading architectural decisions on complex systems, documenting tradeoffs, and creating foundations others build on. - Ability to thrive in ambiguity and reduce it for the team, turning unclear requirements into an executable direction.

Nice to have

- Background spanning areas like CI pipeline experience, deploy and release tooling, notification infrastructure, monetization flows, AI agent surfaces, or foundational web platforms.
