Role overview
A senior individual-contributor software engineering role (Staff Engineer, IC5a) on the DSM Team inside an R&D Engineering organization. The position is fully remote within Czechia and is a permanent employee engagement focused on building computer software products at staff level.
Responsibilities
- Drive senior-level design and implementation work on the DSM Team, contributing deep technical judgment across ambiguous problem spaces. - Partner with engineering peers and adjacent teams within R&D to deliver software capabilities end to end. - Uphold engineering quality standards through code reviews, architectural guidance, and mentorship of other engineers. - Contribute to long-term technical direction, helping shape how the team approaches scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Operate as a hands-on individual contributor while influencing outcomes across the broader engineering organization.
Requirements
- Substantial professional experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated impact at the Staff or equivalent senior-IC level. - Strong grounding in computer science fundamentals and modern software engineering practices. - Proven ability to lead complex technical workstreams and influence engineering decisions without direct authority. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across distributed teams. - Eligibility and ability to work remotely from Czechia on a permanent basis.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working on data, systems, or platform-oriented engineering teams. - Familiarity with collaborating across multiple regions in a remote-first engineering organization.
